Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Specialist II Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager or Supervisor as assigned, the Customer Service Specialist II is responsible for representing HellermannTyton by serving our customers. Requests and inquiries as well as orders come in via phone, email, fax, as well as direct contact from our sales force. Gaining a quick understanding of customer needs, responding promptly, and providing solutions for customers are the keys to developing and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position performs data entry as well to ensure a timely and accurate data flow and demonstrate a clear understanding of customer transactions. These duties are performed mainly for the assigned market segment of our business. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Essential Functions Data entry: Accurately enter, update, and maintain customer, pricing, and product information in internal systems. Provide price, item and account verifications via e-mail. Manage phone queue for inquiries. Monitor and responds to Customer Care inbox messages. Partner with Accounting to remove credit hold requests. Update order information as necessary. Investigate, resolve and document shipping issues. Expedite orders as requested. Run Open Reporting for customers. Other Functions Provides back-up to Receptionist Success in this role will require Contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment. Maintains productivity and professionalism in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to effectively manage time and deliver results to meet service expectations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work. Follows company policies, procedures, and professional conduct standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Independent thinking. What You'll Bring (skills, knowledge, experience) High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent data entry skills while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Highly proficient in MSOffice suite of products. Knowledge of JDE or related system preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure appropriate flow of information. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. High sense of urgency for customer satisfaction. Displays courtesy, tact and respect when dealing with others. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently or within a team. Project a professional company image through phone and email interactions.
