Overview

We are seeking a strong Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join a hospitality/HOA organization and help strengthen and streamline its accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on with accounting but also enjoys identifying inefficiencies, improving processes, and building structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing accounting workflows and help redesign inefficient or overly manual processes .
• Develop and document SOPs, controls, and standardized accounting procedures .
• Review current responsibilities and workflows where multiple team members may be involved in a single process; recommend ways to streamline ownership and eliminate duplication .
• Improve and potentially automate bank reconciliation processes currently managed in Excel .
• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, GL activities, and other day-to-day accounting needs.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and stronger controls across the accounting function.
• Work within Great Plains and potentially support preparation for a future NetSuite implementation/migration .
• Partner with accounting leadership and team members to implement sustainable process improvements.

Strong Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager-level experience.

Hospitality and/or HOA accounting experience required.

Strong understanding of month-end close, bank reconciliations, GL accounting, and accounting controls.

Demonstrated experience fixing broken/manual processes, creating SOPs, and improving accounting workflows .

Great Plains experience preferred; NetSuite experience (or similar) is a plus .

Strong Excel skills and an aptitude for accounting automation/process optimization.

Comfortable working hands-on within a team while also assessing the bigger-picture accounting process.
