Our employees are not only part of history, but they’re also making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Engineer Electronics – Mission Processing/Supplier Interface to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Melbourne, FL site.Must possess in-depth knowledge of computers and electronics for mission processing, displays data storage, Networks, CDS/MLS, Crypto and experience in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification of related hardware and software requirements and will be responsible for one or more of the following:Interpret, allocate, tailor, write and flow down requirements to all levels of a system architectureDesign and develop computer, network and system models and architectures, define interface requirements, perform hardware integration and testing, requirements analysis and collaborate with Integrated Product TeamsConduct Trade studies, documenting subsystem architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL) regarding supplier current and future products offeringsJob Responsibilities:Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specificationsCollaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission management subsystems to meet platform mission objectivesTechnical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test supportDeveloping supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of workBuilding supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionReview documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewsBasic Qualifications:Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.Ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering in Cameo or similar toolsFamiliarity with network, commercial cloud, platform infrastructures and containerized software architectureFamiliarity with Digital Engineering processes and environmentsPrimary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
