Staff Accountant

Location: Lake Worth, FL Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Controller Position Summary Staff Accountant Location Location: Lake Worth, FL Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Controller We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Lake Worth, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. Candidates should have experience with QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently pursuing a degree will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation. Generate financial reports and assist with financial statement preparation. Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting files. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting. Support internal and external audits as required. Utilize QuickBooks to record, review, and maintain financial transactions. Create, update, and analyze spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist management with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis. Qualifications Required Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or actively pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred. Experience using QuickBooks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience with month-end close procedures. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience in a small to mid-sized business environment. Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax reporting. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
