Project Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity in Charleston, SC, supporting day-to-day construction operations and project documentation. This role is a great fit for a highly organized construction professional who enjoys keeping projects on track, coordinating details, and supporting Project Managers across multiple active jobs.

The Project Coordinator will help maintain accurate project records, manage key documentation, and serve as a communication link between internal project teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients. This position offers exposure to active construction projects, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to build a strong career path in construction project management.

Key Responsibilities

- Organize, maintain, and update construction project documentation, records, correspondence, and reports.
- Coordinate submittals, RFIs, change orders, and related project documentation to ensure timely review and distribution.
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination, administrative follow-up, and construction operations tasks.
- Communicate with subcontractors, architects, clients, and internal teams to help keep project information accurate and current.
- Assist with project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals, compliance records, and required final project files.
- Track competing deadlines across multiple projects and proactively follow up on outstanding items.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $62,000 to $67,000 per year.
- Location: Charleston, SC.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support Project Managers with construction project coordination and documentation.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, correspondence, reports, and project records.
- Assist with closeout documentation, compliance records, and O&M manuals.
- Coordinate communication among internal teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients.

- 3+ years of construction experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Dependable, proactive, and comfortable supporting multiple active projects.

Preferred Qualifications

- Construction knowledge or prior experience supporting commercial or general construction projects.
- Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, closeout documents, and project documentation workflows.
- Experience communicating with subcontractors, architects, clients, and project management teams.
