This is our company ethos, but it's our people's too: Refresco is at the cutting edge of a fast-moving industry because we have passionate people pushing the boundaries of what's best.Stop and think: how would YOU put our drinks on every table?Position DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment requiring a strong mechanical skills base to include hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyor systems and PLC usage. Completes all work allocated to a high standard having the ability to complete all maintenance tasks across the installed asset base. Regularly observes and discuss equipment performance and make recommendations for activities to improve this. Promotes and supports the company quality & safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement.Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 Sign-On Bonus Starting pay: $33.22/hr w/ progression to $34.41/hr upon successful training period, plus applicable shift premiums. Schedule: Applicants must be flexible to work varying shifts based on business needs, including weekends, overnights, holidays, and potential 10- or 12-hour schedules depending on the position. Relocation: up to $5,000 in relocation assistanceEssential Job Functions:Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.Ability to perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.Able to troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).Able to perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment (i.e. glycol system, RO system, Compressed Air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment in order to minimize production downtime, assure food safety, product quality and personnel safety.Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders to include recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.Communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production related information from shift to relieving shift.Assist in training other maintenance personnel.Communicate with production during periods of downtime.Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.Required Skills:Knowledge of GMPs.Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.Must be able to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.Work without supervision.Good decision making/problem solving skills.Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.Competencies:Decisive, pro-active, self-motivated, and assertive.Strong interpersonal and developed communication skills.Data analysis and identification of trends.Internal customer focus with the ability to adapt to the variable demands of the business.Ability to demonstrate working under initiative and think things through to solution.Ability to work under own supervision.Education and Experience:Three (3) plus years experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance required.Electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair skills required.Candidates may be required to take a Mechanical (Electrical) Skills and Aptitude Assessment in order to be considered.Position-Specific Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Ability to work flexible hours if needed.Working Conditions:Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection and temperatures can get very hot and/or relatively cold).
