Job Summary Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care per department policies and nursing care standards. Responsibilities & Duties Assessment/Diagnosis – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning – Documents nursing interventions to achieve outcomes based on diagnoses and collaborative problems (30%). Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions, revises the plan of care as needed (20%). Leadership – Participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted clinical, customer, and financial measures (10%). Operations – Focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency (10%). Position operates 24/7/365. Responsibilities may be updated. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required) Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi‑state compact state. BLS certification (American Heart Association). BSN required within 5 years of employment. Work Shift Day shift. Scheduled weekly hours: 24. Department: Emergency Department.
