The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in supporting daily store operations and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Overseeing a small team of 5-10 employees, this position focuses on enhancing customer service, managing inventory, and driving sales through effective promotions and online-in-store integration. The role involves occasional travel to different store locations and emphasizes both staff development and compliance monitoring.

 

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a team of 5-10 employees to achieve store goals
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to maintain stock accuracy
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve any issues promptly
• Develop staff schedules to optimize coverage and productivity
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash management
• Train and develop team members to enhance skills and performance
• Implement visual merchandising standards to maintain store appearance
• Oversee store operations and ensure compliance with company policies
• Monitor loss prevention measures and reduce shrinkage

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail management
• Expertise in retail operations and team leadership
• Strong skills in customer relationship management and sales analysis
• Proven ability in inventory control and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
