Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital position requiring a CO or compact RN license and prior cath lab experience.

Job Details

• Acute care setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab unit at a Level 1 trauma facility,
• Unit includes 2 cath labs, 2 EP labs, and 1 hybrid room, averaging 17 cases per day,
• Patient population includes typical cardiac patients, acute MI, electrophysiology, and structural heart cases,
• Uses EPIC EMR and MacLab equipment,
• Day shift schedule, 4x10s from 7a-530p,
• Combination of assigned and self-scheduling,
• Weekday call required approximately 1 night per week,
• Weekend call required approximately 1 weekend per 6-week schedule,
• Some holiday call required,
• Call response time is 30 minutes,
• No floating outside of the unit except in extreme circumstances, which would be limited to the designated hospital zone,

Job Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required,
• Current ACLS and BLS certification (AHA) required,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Prior cath lab experience required,
• EPIC EMR experience preferred,
• Valid driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring and circulating during cardiac procedures,
• Works alongside charge nurse, director, and RCIS cath lab techs,
• Scrubs are provided,
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel positioning,
• Candidates must be available in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely,
• Facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
