Histotechnologist or Histotechnician - Full Time Job Category : Laboratory Services Requisition Number : HISTO002670 Posted: May 27, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Indiana, PA 15701, USA Description In this role you will be: Receive, accession, and log tissue specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols. Prepare tissue samples by fixation, processing, embedding, cutting, and staining (H&E and special stains). Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as tissue processors, microtomes, cryostats, and autostainers. Perform immunohistochemistry (IHC) and special stains as needed for diagnostic purposes. Ensure all specimens are accurately labeled and meet quality standards. Maintain accurate records of specimens, tests, and quality control procedures. Follow established safety and infection control procedures. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives. Assist with frozen sections and intraoperative consultations, if required. Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies; prepare solutions and stains as needed.
