Position Summary:
The University of Alaska Human Resources department is seeking an Employee Development Professional to join our team.This recruitment is open internally to current UA employees or those otherwise eligible to apply to internal postings.The Employee Development Professional works in close collaboration with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development to assess, develop, and deliver strategic training programs for the university based on strategic direction from leadership and feedback from stakeholders.
To thrive in this role you will need to be a communicative, team-player open to collaboration not only within HR but across the system.You will need to have knowledge of and working experience with graphic design software, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar programs. You will need to possess the ability to use database programs to pull and manipulate data as well as have strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Excellent written, oral communication and public speaking/ presentation skills are key in this role as you will be presenting to a variety of audiences. This position offers workplace flexibility with fully in office or a hybrid work space.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of professional human resources experience, four years of demonstrated training development and delivery experience, two years experience in data analysis, and creation of marketing materials to include website development along with a Bachelor's degree in a field related to human resources, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
