Job Skills / Requirements This is an on-call/flex position and provides coverage for absences and additional cleaning for Grand Haven Area Public Schools. The role is a great fit for anyone looking for flexible evening work. Responsibilities of School Custodian/Janitor: Follow all company and facility cleaning procedures Clean, sanitize and restock restrooms and common areas Empty trash and recyclable receptacles Clean and disinfect hard surfaces Vacuum, sweep and mop floors Report maintenance issues, supply needs and other concerns to a Team Lead or Manager Requirements of Custodian/Janitor: No Experience, No Problem! Dependable and reliable attendance Ability to work independently and stay on task Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners) Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK & FINGERPRINTING Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
