Looking for a strong kitchen lead for an independent Italian restaurant in Swansboro. Join a growing local restaurant group with a medium kitchen team of 6-15 members and opportunities for upward mobility. The Sous Chef reports directly to the Head Chef and plays a key role in managing daily kitchen operations, including special event catering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff in a medium-sized team
• Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation
• Oversee special event catering and ensure quality standards
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in culinary arts
