Warehouse Specialist (Engineering Tech IV)

Overview PCSI is seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist (Engineering Tech IV). This position will report to the Logistics Manager/APM and is based in San Diego, CA. What You'll Do As Warehouse Specialist (Engineering Tech IV) As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the established storage plan. Verifies materials against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies and obvious damages; routes materials to prescribed storage locations; stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed methods. May be requested to finish products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers, which may involve verifying content, inserting enclosures, using protective material, closing and sealing, and applying labels or entering identifying data. Performs warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts). Rearranges and inventories stored materials; examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage; removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment. Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods for the site and receiving incoming shipments, following established guidelines for day‑to‑day routine tasks. Handles unusual non‑routine problems under specific guidance from supervisor or officials. Reports all accidents/incidents to Lead and designated Government Personnel. Operates hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Other duties as assigned. OSHA certified forklift operator. Two (2) or more years of experience in warehouse operations. Working knowledge of Navy Supply Operating System (ERP). Class A CDL preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to utilize normal material handling equipment (pallet jacks, VIDMAR systems, forklifts). Ability to utilize ERP AIT devices. Ability to lift, move and set down lightweight parts under 45 pounds without using MHE. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, push loaded part carts, boxes of parts, etc.; ability to climb stairs or ladders and work in confined spaces. Finger dexterity required to operate a computer keyboard. Must have hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, copier, etc.) and a personal computer. Ability to communicate both orally and in written format. Ability to follow guidelines to arrange objects or actions in a certain order. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; demonstrates poise, tact and diplomacy. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment while juggling multiple competing tasks and demands. Other Requirements Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening. Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors. Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
