At Tutor Perini you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile projects that impact your community.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDESCRIPTION:As a Construction Change Order Engineer at Tutor Perini Corporation, reporting to the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to: RESPONSIBILITIES:Review Owner ordered extra work documents for accuracy and completeness and develop questions as they relate to assigned scope of workDevelop scope of work packages to define project work requirements through narratives, checklists, and quantity take-off for change order pricingSolicit subcontractor/vendor quotations, prepare and distribute change order document packages, respond to inquiries, being knowledgeable of respective scopes of work and responsibilitiesEvaluate and analyze subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accuracy in scope. (Quantities, schedule, inclusions, exclusions, etc.)Prepare subcontractors/vendors price analysis sheetsCoordinate with operations team on this design-bid-build project to support development of cost and schedule proposals (CSP)Finalize cost proposals for submission to the clientAssist with change order negotiations and finalize agreed upon terms, conditions, and priceAssist with purchasing and definition of subcontractor/ vendor agreements scope of workAbility to work in a team environment with multiple Changes at the same timeAbility to understand construction documents and develop scopes of workGood interpersonal and communication skills both written and oralWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word primarily)Working knowledge of take-off software or similar a plusWorking knowledge of estimating softwareREQUIREMENTS:Five (5) or more years of relevant work experienceTwo (2) or more years of experience in the construction industry with an emphasis on estimatingExperience in fixed price, design-build, and/ or self-perform estimating a plusExperience with Government projects a plusExperience with sitework, concrete, utilities, systems, or rail, a plusCandidates local to downtown Los Angeles, California preferredOUR MISSIONWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.OUR VISIONWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
