The Gardens of Statesville is seeking a skilled and dependable culinary professional to prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, committed to consistency, and able to contribute to an efficient, clean, and collaborative workplace. We are an independent living, assisted living and memory care community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
• Ensure food is cooked safely, properly seasoned, and served at the appropriate temperature
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout each shift
• Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to support smooth kitchen operations
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, plating, and kitchen cleanup as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver timely and consistent service
• Support special dietary requests and menu adjustments when required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, catering, or food service setting preferred
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency in food preparation
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
