Human Resources Intern (Part Time/Time Limited – Remote)The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a Human Resources Intern. This is a diverse role, and the ideal candidate will be service oriented in support of several human resources functions. This position will work with our remote staff and contractors aligning IEEFA culture to initiatives which strengthen an inclusive and engaged global team. In partnership with experienced HR professionals, this role will build practical skills while working on human resources projects that impact the organization. Candidates for this remote based position must be located in the United States, preferably in the Appalachian region.IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/nonprofit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 80+ analysts and communications personnel located in 16 countries across the globe. Our major research reports, daily analysis, press coverage and other resources can be found on our website: and ResponsibilitiesSupport recruitment, training, new hire onboarding and orientation activities, including HR policies and benefitsSupport the HR team on strategic projects, reporting, data entry, people data analysis, and process improvement initiativesSupport compliance efforts by maintaining confidential records and assisting with audits as necessaryAssist with employee engagement programs and special events that strengthen workplace cultureManage communications for employees and managers while helping respond to routine HR-related questionsSupport day-to-day HR operations and contribute to projects that improve employee experiencePerform other duties and special projects as assignedSkills and AttributesStrong commitment to excellence in service.Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with diplomacy and tact with all levels and backgrounds of the organization and external candidates.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.Solid proficiency in MS Office suite.Required QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development or a related field (senior or graduate level). Due to required collaboration with international teams, the schedule will include some early morning or later evening hours with time off to compensate elsewhere in the schedule to accommodate meetings in different time zones.Compensation and BenefitsUSD $21 per hour.
