Financial Specialist

Position Summary This position maintains accurate records of resident monetary account balances, processes receipts to and disbursements from resident accounts for designated correctional centers in the Wisconsin Correctional Center System (WCCS). This position also audits accounts as necessary to ensure accuracy of work; prepares and furnishes reports as requested and required. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 02-11 with a starting pay of $22.76/hour . Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required. Job Details This position offers an optional hybrid remote work schedule, allowing potentially up to three days remote per week (after training is complete) based on work needs. Any remote work must be performed from Wisconsin. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt. Anticipated schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM. This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.
