Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who are committed to providing the very best and safest care to our patients/residents. This CNA will partner with a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in providing the very best and safest quality of care. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Responsibilities: Prepare residents for meals and assist with meal service, transport residents to and from dining room, assist with feeding when necessary, and accurately document residents’ intake immediately after consumption Serve nourishments and between-meal-snacks to residents as ordered and distribute ice and water, rotating water pitchers and deliver pitchers to the Dietary Department for sanitation. Ambulate residents, assist residents in and out of chairs and wheelchairs, position bedridden residents according to plan of care, and utilize appropriate support devices Provide personal care to patients/residents, including bathing (bed, shower, tub, whirlpool) shampooing, combing hair, oral care, personal hygiene, shaving, nail care, and dressing Make occupied and unoccupied beds and turn down beds for residents Provide skin care – keep residents on turn schedule and use lotions and massages as needed Answer call lights and answer questions and respond, giving appropriate care or alerting Supervisor Treat residents with dignity and always observe all residents’ rights and confidentiality Attend mandatory in-services and maintain certification Straighten residents’ rooms and closets and clean inside of bedside tables Remove soiled linen, rinse in the hopper and transport dirty linens to laundry CNA – Qualifications: MUST be at least 18 years of age MUST be certified in the state where applying or have successfully completed CNA training from a state-approved school and obtain certification within the first four (4) months of employment Completion of high school education or otherwise show ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment exam if required Benefit Enrollment Opportunities: Major Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401K Volunteer Term Life and AD&D Insurance Short Term & Long Term Disability Insurance Available Shifts: 7am-3pm 3pm-11pm 3pm-11pm (Friday-Sunday) 11pm-7pm (Friday-Sunday) Job Type: Full-time, Part-time and PRN #J-18808-Ljbffr Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
