Step into a dynamic role supporting students’ communication needs in the New Orleans area. This contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist offers a rewarding, full-time position working within a school setting, guiding students in their growth and communication skills. The assignment runs from now through late May 2027, aligning with the school calendar for a balanced schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure, or eligibility for licensure
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Commitment to supporting diverse school-aged children
  • Clearance through district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting

What You'll Do:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students (caseload and specific age groups will be assigned)
  • Complete thorough speech and language assessments
  • Develop individualized education plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with district and professional standards
  • Engage with teachers, staff, and families to support speech-language outcomes
  • Work across multiple school sites as assigned
