Family Medicine Faculty Physician

LifePoint Health

Las Cruces, NM

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a Family Medicine Faculty physician to join its established residency program. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a positive, collaborative environment within a nationally recognized healthcare organization, Lifepoint Health. The position balances teaching and administrative duties with clinical practice, allowing for significant impact on patient care and the development of future physicians.

Practice Info

  • Community hospital with an unopposed program
  • Established residency program with 7 core faculty physicians
  • 70% teaching/administrative time and 30% clinical practice
  • Full-spectrum family medicine care, including inpatient medicine and obstetric skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of outpatient primary care
  • Oversight of office procedures
  • Precepting residents
  • Didactic teaching
  • Resident mentoring

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary plus worked relative value unit (wRVU) production bonus
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Proficiency in inpatient medicine and obstetrics is required
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians
  • Interest or experience in curriculum development and program growth is a plus
  • Interest in geriatric care is desired but not required
