Management Company Accountant - Private Equity

We're partnering with a fast-growing, SEC-registered investment manager with over $2B in AUM focused on complex assets through closed-end private fund structures. Their mission sits at the intersection of sustainability and financial innovation, deploying capital at scale to address climate change while delivering strong returns for investors. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role as a Senior Corporate Accounting Associate is supporting the management company's Finance team across accounting, FP&A, and operations! As a newly created position, you'll work closely with a sharp, collaborative team and have real ownership from day one. Core Responsibilities: Monthly close accounting — journal entries, cash reconciliations, capital account allocations, unaudited monthly financial statements, and management of year-end audits with external auditors. Manage all vendor payments for the management company and fund expenses; coordinate chargebacks from management company to funds in partnership with the fund accounting team. Prepare FP&A analysis of budget vs. actuals for senior management. Support regulatory filings, annual/quarterly tax reporting, and ad hoc projects. Requirements and Qualifications: 3–4 years of corporate accounting experience at a private equity or hedge fund; will consider public accounting experience with PE/hedge fund clients Straight public audit background covering fund clients is also strongly considered Prior experience coordinating year‑end financial statement audits with external auditors Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting Strong MS Excel skills; proficiency across MS Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills — comfortable presenting financial performance to senior leadership Highly detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to take full ownership of processes and projects If you're a hands‑on corporate accounting professional from the financial services sector who wants to build, not just maintain, we'd love to hear from you!
