Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant Opportunity | Southwest Florida | Leadership Potential

Join an established cardiovascular surgery team in Southwest Florida as a Surgical Physician Assistant supporting patients across the full continuum of care. This opportunity offers broad surgical involvement, including first-assist responsibilities and vein harvesting, with potential for future leadership. Vein Harvesting experience is required.

 

Position Highlights

• Comprehensive surgical PA role spanning inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and telehealth care
• First-assist responsibilities during cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Vein harvesting experience required
• Preoperative, postoperative, and follow-up patient management
• Hospital rounds, patient evaluations, consultations, and care coordination
• Opportunity for leadership within the surgical program

Schedule & Call

• Weekday, weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage as assigned
• On-call responsibilities include clinical decision-making and patient management across surgical care settings
• Collaborative coverage model with the cardiovascular surgical team

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of APP experience
• Vein harvesting experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Physician Assistant licensure in the applicable state
• NCCPA certification required
