Position Summary

The Breakfast / Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for preparing, presenting, and maintaining the hotel’s breakfast service while delivering exceptional guest hospitality. This role ensures the breakfast area is clean, fully stocked, visually appealing, and welcoming.

This position may also assist with coffee bar service and light food & beverage support throughout the day as needed.

Core Responsibilities

Breakfast Service

• Set up and break down daily breakfast service
• Prepare and replenish food items according to hotel standards
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation
• Maintain proper food temperatures and sanitation standards
• Refill beverages, coffee, juice, and supplies throughout service
• Keep breakfast area clean, organized, and inviting
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness

Guest Experience

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Answer questions about food offerings and hotel amenities
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
• Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when needed

Food Safety & Compliance

• Follow all food handling and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain ServSafe or local health compliance standards (if certified)
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items
• Complete cleaning logs and temperature logs as required

Coffee Bar / F&B Support (as assigned)

• Assist with preparing coffee beverages
• Restock retail and beverage areas
• Support light prep for evening bar service when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of The Storeroom and surrounding guest areas

Operational Support

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
• Assist with deliveries and organization of storage areas
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Adhere to cash handling policies if applicable

Qualifications

• Previous food service, barista, or hospitality experience preferred
• Positive, upbeat personality with strong guest service skills
• Ability to work early morning shifts (typically starting between 5:00–6:00 AM)
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Weekend and holiday availability required

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Bend, reach, and move frequently
• Work in kitchen and guest-facing environments
• Indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure

Work Environment

The hospitality industry operates 24/7. Scheduling will vary based on occupancy and seasonality. Early morning availability is essential for this role.
