Job Details Job Location: Yakima Corporate - Yakima, WA 98902 Salary Range: $17.93 - $17.93 Hourly Job Title: Planning Intern Department: Planning Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly Reports to: Production Planning Manager Job Summary The Planning Intern will assist in various parts of the planning process, focusing mainly on work order auditing and creation. They will also support various departments by maintaining the helpdesk, act as backup, be cross‑trained on multiple aspects, and fill in as needed. Job Duties Assist in auditing work orders for accuracy. Perform data entry functions for the Master Production Schedules. Create work orders throughout the production season. Assist in maintaining the Planning Helpdesk. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements. May actively participate on company’s Safety Committee. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed. Have a complete understanding of company’s policies, Employee Handbook, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability. Adhere to all company policies. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications. Follow all SOPs in a given area. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee. Job Qualifications Advanced experience in MS Office. Basic experience with ERP and WMS systems, Power BI, Smartsheet. Excellent mathematical, communication and computer skills; strongly detail oriented and able to multi‑task. Ability to work independently without supervision. Strong teamwork skills, both as a lead and supporting member. Well‑developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor, able to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with employees, vendors and customers at all levels. Professional level writing and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, able to multi‑task and focus on the task at hand; prioritize and solve work problems to meet objectives and deadlines. Follow written (SOPs, company memos & emails) and verbal instructions. Possess a strong work ethic and contribute positively to the company’s mission, vision, values and environmental and quality policies.
