Senior Security Officer Recruiter

Location: Dallas, Texas – Corporate Headquarters | 7500 W. Camp Wisdom Road, Dallas, TX

POSITION SUMMARY

Tier One Security seeks an experienced, results-driven recruiter with a proven record of sourcing, evaluating, and hiring Texas Level III commissioned armed security officers and Level II non-commissioned officers. This position also provides practical support for routine human resources administration, including hiring documentation, onboarding, employee records, and employee lifecycle changes.

The successful candidate understands Texas private security licensing, maintains established industry recruiting networks, independently manages multiple staffing priorities, and applies rigorous candidate screening standards. The role partners closely with Operations, Training, and designated HR leadership to meet staffing requirements without compromising qualifications, safety, or compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

• Own full-cycle recruiting for Texas Level III armed and Level II unarmed security officers, with particular emphasis on experienced armed officers.
• Proactively source through Indeed, LinkedIn, referrals, direct outreach, security academies, veteran transition programs, and law enforcement networks.
• Build and maintain qualified pipelines for existing vacancies, anticipated growth, and multi-site assignments.
• Conduct structured screenings, coordinate interviews, assess professionalism and communication, and communicate regularly with candidates and hiring managers.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize staffing requirements and develop recruiting plans for school, healthcare, and other sensitive assignments.

Candidate Screening, Licensing & Hiring Compliance

• Verify Texas DPS Private Security licensing and registration status through appropriate sources; identify outstanding licensing or training requirements.
• Screen for assignment-specific qualifications, relevant armed experience, availability, professional presentation, and required duty equipment, including firearm ownership where applicable.
• Coordinate required background checks, references, assessments, and other pre-employment steps; ensure required clearances and approvals are documented before an employee starts.
• Refer suitability concerns and exceptions to appropriate decision-makers; never bypass established hiring, licensing, training, or screening requirements to meet staffing targets.
• Maintain complete and accurate applicant tracking and selection records.

Human Resources Administration & Employee Support

• Prepare and coordinate accurate offer letters and new-hire documentation using approved terms and processes.
• Coordinate onboarding paperwork, employee records, and employee status changes with designated HR leadership and Operations. 

Recruiting Performance & Accountability

• Track qualified Level III placements, time-to-fill, candidate conversion, training acceptance or pass rates, and 30/60/90-day retention.
• Track pre-employment screening completion, offer-letter accuracy, and onboarding documentation quality.
• Provide recurring recruiting pipeline and performance reports to Operations leadership; identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Balance speed and volume with officer suitability, licensing compliance, and Tier One standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to source, assess, and hire qualified armed security personnel for multiple positions or client locations.
• At least two (2) years of practical HR administration, onboarding, employee documentation, or closely related responsibilities; experience may overlap with recruiting experience.
• Working knowledge of Texas DPS Private Security licensing, registration, and training requirements.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Indeed, LinkedIn, and recruiting activity reporting.
• Strong screening judgment, documentation accuracy, discretion, communication skills, and independent follow-through.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site at the Dallas corporate headquarters.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Established DFW and Texas networks among licensed armed officers, security training academies, veterans, and law enforcement professionals.
• At least three (3) years of direct recruiting experience in the Texas private security industry, including substantial hands-on Level III armed officer recruiting and experience recruiting Level II officers.
• Experience staffing armed officers in schools, healthcare facilities, and other high-accountability environments.
• Experience supporting employee relations documentation, leave tracking, and routine HR workflows.
• Experience with high-volume recruiting, multi-site operations, and referral programs.

Performance is evaluated on both staffing results and quality indicators, including early retention, training outcomes, and completion of required pre-employment checks. Hiring targets never override qualification, safety, or compliance requirements.
