We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services in Gurnee, Illinois . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication and academic success while working in a collaborative educational environment.

Position Details

• Competitive pay: $80/hour

• 35 hours per week

• 39-week contract

• School-based setting

• Start date: 09/08/2026

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational goals.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines.

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations regarding speech and language services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license.

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement, or eligibility to obtain.

• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
