Regional Sales Manager - Government Eastern US

Position Responsibilities Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to achieve department budget and goals. Lead the regional sales team in the total overall government business operations. Integrate department goals with objectives at the region, district, and Profit Center (PC) level. Understand the Public Sector and develop the acumen to assist them in the transition from equipment ownership to equipment rental while protecting and increasing market share. Analyze and manage cost structures for Public Sector customers to ensure they are in line with Company and market channel objectives. Oversee performance of contract vehicles within States and Districts and adapt strategies to maximize revenue potential. Define and prioritize targeted governmental account plans while leveraging 3rd party data sources. Capitalize on existing relationships with governmental entities at the federal, state and local levels. Stay abreast of governmental entities' fiscal cycles and budgets affecting their spending habits. Prepare monthly/quarterly forecast for State, Local, and Federal business, as well as ongoing pipeline management. Provide leadership and education to field management and sales representatives on revenue potential from all General Tool and Specialty Divisions. Drive the relationships with governmental entities. Coach and mentor the Government Sales Specialist in the creation and implementation of their sales plans. Establish the Government Sales Team as a trusted partner to enable revenue growth at the Regional, District, PC and OSR territory levels. Work closely with Marketing and other sales assets to generate attendees for sales events, training seminars, trade shows, etc., and provide diligent follow-through with prospects after the events. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a High School diploma or equivalent. Six (6) years of work experience required in Outside Sales or Sales Management role with at least 3 years of experience in the Public Sector. Documented successful territory management showing consistent revenue growth. Demonstrated leadership, presentation, and teamwork skills. Comfortable calling on all level customers. Ability and desire to mentor and develop employees. Ability to travel up to 75% by car/plane, including some nights and weekends as required. Must be eligible to access government facilities, including federal and military bases. Basic Microsoft Office and Wynne Rental Man (a plus but not required). Physical Demands Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA. Compensation and Benefits Base Pay Range: $101,134.00 - 139,058.70 Total compensation package includes base pay, company vehicle, and robust commission plan.
