Pharmacist - Lancaster, PA

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a large 500-bed hospital in York, PA. This contract position offers a chance to apply your inpatient pharmacy expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patient care through medication management, order verification, and clinical consultations.

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• Immediate start
• 13 weeks+ duration

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Consult with physicians and healthcare team members regarding pharmacokinetics and medication therapy
• Manage complex medication therapies, including oncology and chemotherapy treatments
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Several years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system is required
• Experience handling oncology and chemotherapy medications is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of medication use processes and patient safety standards
