NOW HIRING CONCRETE/CARPENTERS

Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Concrete Carpenter to join our construction team. This role is responsible for hanging formwork, building and setting concrete forms, deck forming, deck stripping, and supporting concrete placement operations on commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of form systems, blueprint reading, construction safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced jobsite environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Build, install, align, and dismantle concrete formwork systems.
• Perform hang forming for walls, columns, decks, and elevated structures.
• Execute deck stripping and removal of formwork following concrete curing requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout specifications.
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and forming materials.
• Install embeds, blockouts, and other concrete accessories.
• Verify form dimensions, plumbness, elevation, and alignment before concrete placement.
• Assist with concrete pours and finishing preparation.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Collaborate with foremen, superintendents, and crew members to meet production schedules.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Identify and report hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Commercial concrete formwork experience.
• Experience with gang forms, handset forms, and deck forming systems.
• Knowledge of hang forming and deck stripping procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with carpentry tools, measuring devices, and layout equipment.
• Understanding of concrete placement, curing, and form removal requirements.
• Ability to calculate dimensions, grades, and elevations.
• Experience installing embeds, anchor bolts, and blockouts.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 3-5 years of concrete carpentry experience.
• Experience with elevated deck systems and wall-form construction.
• Ability to read construction blueprints and layout drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to project sites.
• Must pass pre-employment screening requirements.
• Two shifts available: Must be available for overtime - 12 hours days
• 1st Shift: 3am Start Time
• 2nd Shift: 9pm Start Time

Preferred

• Completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Scaffold user certification.
• Forklift, aerial lift, or telehandler experience.
• Experience on commercial high-rise or tilt-up projects.
