Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Description & Requirements

Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
Discipline: RN
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 weeks
34 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours, nights
Employment Type: Travel

Schedule & Requirements

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 89 days (13 weeks)

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
Recent IMC/PCU experience
Experience caring for surgical patients (pre-operative and post-operative)
Dysrhythmia management experience
Experience with telemetry and intermediate care patient populations

Preferred Experience

EPIC charting experience
1–2 prior travel assignments
Surgical PCU/IMC experience involving Urology, Thoracic, or General Surgery patients
ACLS certification

Required Certifications & Licensure

Current RN License
BLS Certification
IMC/PCU experience required

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical, urology, and thoracic patients in an Intermediate Care setting.
Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
Manage and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring.
Deliver pre-operative and post-operative bedside care.
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders.
Monitor patients requiring continuous vital sign surveillance and advanced monitoring.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
Assist with patient transfers and transitions across levels of care.
