Perfusionist

The position requires a perfusionist for day shifts. The perfusionist will provide support during cardiac surgeries. Minimum four years of experience is preferred, but first-time candidates are welcome to apply. Weekend call rotation will occur approximately every fifth weekend, with possible holiday coverage. State license and BLS certification are mandatory. Candidates must be prepared to be on-call as needed. Discuss any scheduling requests with the manager. RTO restrictions ideally should not exceed five days. Candidates may be called off up to 36 hours during a thirteen-week assignment without being compensated for the canceled hours. If canceled hours exceed this limit, the facility will be billed for the excess. Trained skills required include management of anticoagulation, adequacy of perfusion, and patient monitoring. Candidates must be familiar with applicable procedures and equipment. Additional experience in cardiopulmonary support and emergency protocols is advantageous. The client emphasizes adherence to safety and infection control protocols. Candidates should exhibit professionalism and teamwork in a high-pressure environment.
