Relationship Manager

Relationship Manager – Central Region Market Group, Louisiana Gulf Coast A motivated Relationship Manager will oversee the expansion of GHD’s presence in the Louisiana Gulf Coast, based in Baton Rouge. The hybrid position requires on-site collaboration three days a week and on-call client engagement. Responsibilities Develop and manage key client relationships, including energy, petrochemical, shipping/ports, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors. Lead account teams and execute relationship management plans for complex client accounts. Clarify client needs, set objectives for sales calls, and tailor presentations to decision makers. Sell client propositions, negotiate commercial terms, and facilitate price concessions as needed. Act as client champion within cross-functional teams to foster strong external relationships. Prospect new accounts and develop relationship plans for potential clients. Maintain accurate CRM data, ensuring quality records and resolving issues. Represent GHD at trade shows and industry events to identify opportunities and enhance reputation. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and codes of conduct. Pursue personal development through training, conferences, and professional accreditation. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge of the energy, petrochemical, shipping/ports, manufacturing, and agriculture industries. Proven experience in client engagement and business development with government, industry, and community stakeholders. Familiarity with state and federal regulations (LDEQ, USACE, EPA, FERC, DOE, etc.). Demonstrated ability to develop and execute market strategies. Seller/doer mindset with strong business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills. Benefits 401(k) – eligibility starts after 3 months of service.
