Travel Registered Nurse - NICU in Kernersville, NC

This travel opportunity places you in a high-acuity setting within a Level 1 trauma academic hospital, exposing you to a diverse array of patient cases-including preterm infants, complex surgical needs, and post-surgical care. Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No call
• Expect to cover approximately 75% of holidays
• Scheduling occurs every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience
• Active RN license
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with:
  • Basic vent management
  • Central line and tracheostomy management
  • Pre/post-surgical care, gavage and bottle feeding, blood transfusions, infant venous sticks

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care for neonates (23 weeks to term)
• Manage pre- and post-surgical patients (NEC, CDH, etc.)
• Maintain clear documentation in EPIC EMR
• Float as needed to Pediatrics, PICU, Adolescent Pediatrics, and Pediatric Hem/Onc units
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supported by dedicated NAs and charge RNs
