Overview: Our client is seeking Systems Analysts with experience in Operational Technology (OT), SCADA systems, industrial automation, and data engineering. These positions will support the collection, movement, transformation, and analysis of operational data from field devices through enterprise reporting platforms. The ideal candidate understands how industrial data flows from sensors and control systems into cloud-based analytics environments and can help support, troubleshoot, and improve those data pipelines. Opportunities exist for both junior-to-mid-level professionals looking to grow their skills and senior-level professionals capable of leading complex OT data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Support and maintain operational technology (OT) data environments connecting field devices, sensors, PLCs, and SCADA systems to enterprise analytics platforms. Assist with the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of data pipelines that move information from operational systems into cloud-based data environments. Work with SCADA platforms, historians, industrial communication protocols, and data integration technologies. Develop and support SQL queries, Python scripts, ETL/ELT processes, and data transformation workflows. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and analytics teams to ensure accurate and reliable data movement throughout the organization. Support cloud-based data architecture and analytics initiatives utilizing Azure, AWS, Databricks, or similar technologies. Participate in data modeling, reporting, dashboard development, and operational analytics projects. Troubleshoot end-to-end data flow issues from field instrumentation through reporting platforms. Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing.

Preferred Experience: Experience working with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, ClearSCADA, Wonderware, AVEVA, or similar technologies. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including OPC, Modbus, DNP3, MQTT, and Kepware. Experience supporting PLCs, instrumentation, industrial controls, field devices, sensors, and automation systems. SQL development and database experience. Python scripting and automation experience. Understanding of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines. Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Exposure to Databricks, enterprise analytics environments, data modeling, reporting, and Power BI. Experience within energy, utilities, pipeline operations, manufacturing, or industrial environments is highly preferred. Exposure to machine learning, industrial IoT, or advanced analytics is a plus.

Analytical problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical environments. Comfortable working across multiple disciplines including operations technology, cloud technologies, data engineering, and analytics. Effective communicator who can collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders. Self-motivated learner who enjoys expanding their technical expertise across emerging technologies. For senior-level candidates, demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, and the ability to support enterprise-scale OT data environments is highly desired. Candidates do not need experience in every listed technology but should possess strong expertise in several key areas and a willingness to learn the others.
