You love the idea of supporting a dynamic and growing organization and making your mark on a retail category because you are driven to provide value to the business anyway you can!As a Sr. Category Manager, you will:Help set and lead the strategic direction for a category at a retailerDeliver merchandising and assortment planning recommendationsResearch category and industry trends to provide findings on what is next within a categoryAnalyze and leverage multiple sources of complex data sets, to tell a story on growth opportunities for the category and demonstrate thought leadershipDevelop and maintain routine reporting on category performance through retailer and Market data and communicate actionable insightsBuild Planograms using the Blue Yonder Space Planning software multiple times a yearBuild and maintain strong relationships with retailer teamCollaborate and share findings with the Category Management TeamHave a desire and availability to be a dependable go-to resource for team training and developmentHave an understanding of team strengths, opportunities and existing data resources to most effectively balance workloads and create a connected team cultureProactively create efficiencies, processes, and templates for the Category Management team by always looking for new ways to complete the roleAdaptable and willing to jump into help were necessaryAmbition to potentially manage other team membersOther duties and responsibilities that are assignedBasic QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in Category Management or Category Captainship, including experience analyzing retail data to develop category, assortment, and merchandising recommendations.Minimum 3 years of experience developing and executing planogramsPreferred QualificationsExperience managing multiple different categories preferred and able to apply the fundamentals of Category Management to any businessDemonstrates leadership with the team and clientA master at pairing multiple data sets to answer business questions and proactive at telling a story on business trendsSelf-starter with the ability to work in ambiguous situations and likes to continuously learnPassionate about retail and industry trendsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail and reliable to hit deadlinesAsks good questions, gains alignment on goals and can execute on themCan creatively solve problems and work independentlyStrong communication skills and excellent relationship building skillsExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power PointProficient in Category Management Tools (Blue Yonder Space Planning, Market Data- POS and Panel Data, etc.)Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
