Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer care to customers regarding daily transactions, addressing inquiries, and problem resolution in accordance with Fifth Third Bank policies. Refer customers to the appropriate business partner for products and services uncovered during business interactions. Travel to various Financial Centers within the market as required. Account for risk by openly exchanging ideas, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures. Ensure actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite. Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report all types of risks consistently. Promote a good customer experience by consistently applying customer experience key behaviors in a friendly demeanor, can‑do attitude, and willingness to help. Develop a rapport with the customer base and maintain knowledge of account ownership. Act with confidence by finding answers to customer questions and solutions to customer issues. Respond timely to correspondence and problem resolution. Maintain confidentiality of all customer business. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and all related policies. Perform daily office responsibilities and work with the platform team to keep the office operating efficiently. Maintain a balancing record that is in line with policy and correct outages when necessary. Keep up-to-date on bank policies and financial center procedures. Handle consumer and business customer problems professionally, directing complex issues to the Lead Customer Service Representative or other leadership as needed. Demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, abiding by established guidelines and procedures. Consistently meet or exceed sales referrals set by management. Actively participate in daily huddles, sales meetings, and staff meetings. Maintain a well‑developed knowledge of all Retail products and services and seek assistance for further development. Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and refer customers to business partners for banking products and services. Use appropriate tools for all references and track referrals through dashboards to ensure proper disposition. Continuously increase knowledge and skills through self‑motivation, formal education, seminars, and in‑house training. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Extensive cash handling experience, requiring advanced math functions. Professional appearance and confident interaction with the public. Strong reading and writing skills for effective oral and written communication. In‑depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures (typically acquired with at least 2 years of CSR experience). Ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in decision‑making, diplomacy, and problem resolution. Team‑player with a positive attitude toward coworkers and management. Flexibility in scheduling. SAFE Act registration at the time of employment via the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Working Conditions Normal office environment with extended computer screen time; travel required.
