Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical organization to identify a Quality Control Lab Assistant for an opportunity in Knoxville, TN.

Additional Details:

• Location model: 100% onsite in Knoxville, TN
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Position Type: 6-month contract with potential to extend
• Pay range approved: $14/hr - $16/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of samples for laboratory testing.
• Receive, process, track, and reconcile donor samples from receipt through final testing.
• Store and retrieve samples from refrigerated and frozen storage areas and maintain sample archives.
• Use computerized systems to track samples, testing status, and laboratory inventory.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation within the assigned department.
• Properly dispose of completed samples in designated biohazard containers.
• Receive laboratory specimens and supplies and accurately maintain related records.
• Monitor laboratory supply inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
• Follow cGMP guidelines, laboratory procedures, HSE policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
• Participate in required training and continuing education.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in a laboratory environment.
