Dental Assistant – Sarasota, FL Full‑time Experienced Dental Assistant position at Southside Village Dental Care in Sarasota, FL. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, chairside assistance, diagnostic imaging, and administrative support to dentists. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment. Conduct thorough patient health history reviews to provide quality care. Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography, etc.). Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record‑keeping. Prepare treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels, place and expedite orders as needed. Partner with providers and team to implement practice systems and maximize office workflow. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. State‑issued Dental Assistant Permit and X‑ray credentials. Willingness to train and develop skills. Education & Certifications High School Diploma or GED. State‑issued Dental Assistant Permit. X‑ray certification. Dental Assistant graduate welcome to apply. Skills and Experience Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Compliance & Confidentiality Access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job‑related functions; regular HIPAA training will be required, and the individual must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards. Schedule Monday‑Wednesday, 7:30 am‑5:30 pm Thursday, 6:30 am‑4:30 pm Two Fridays per month, 7:30 am‑2:00 pm (hourly changeable) No nights or weekends.
