As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and access control activities, respond professionally to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $26.48 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor and report unusual activity, facility conditions, and security-related equipment issues, maintaining accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation. Support access management by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel, and following visitor and contractor entry procedures. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet Valid Driver's License is required Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
