Alterations Specialist

Summary The Alterations Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality altered merchandise within established time standards while providing exceptional client service in a boutique environment. This role requires expert knowledge of luxury fabrics and techniques, strong attention to detail, and collaboration with the boutique team to ensure accurate, timely alterations and a superior client experience. Responsibilities Uphold production standards and deliver high-quality alterations consistent with brand expectations Fit garments on clients and perform alterations and repairs including hemming, mending, taking in and letting out seams, and length adjustments Construct garments per client specifications and maintain organization of client-owned pieces Label and record required alterations and communicate with clients regarding specifications and preferences Maintain sewing machines and equipment, and use irons/pressing machines to finish garments Provide styling and fitting advice and collaborate with boutique associates and management Requirements Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment preferred Strong technical background with knowledge of leather, knits, double-face, beading, fine tailoring, and specialty techniques Sound knowledge of fabrics and sewing techniques and ability to work under time constraints Excellent communication and exceptional client service skills; foreign language skills preferred Minimum High School Diploma, ability to lift 15 lb, and flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr brobstongroup.com - Jobboard
