PRN Occupational Therapist - Burn Center

Are you passionate about helping patients regain independence and quality of life after catastrophic injury? Doctors Hospital is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our nationally recognized Burn Center team.

Home to the largest burn center in the country, with more than 100 burn beds and 38 dedicated ICU beds, our program provides therapists with a unique opportunity to practice at the highest level of burn rehabilitation while working alongside some of the most experienced clinicians in the field. We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our specialized Burn Center team at Doctors Hospital. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in helping burn patients maximize function, mobility, independence, and quality of life throughout their recovery journey.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, treatment, and patient and family education for individuals recovering from burn injuries and related conditions. The therapist collaborates with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal functional outcomes.

Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient's functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by exampleproviding guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare's mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications You Will Need:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
