F/A -18 Supply Technician

Amentum is immediately hiring a qualified F/A-18 O‑Level Supply Technician to support U.S. Navy Aviation maintenance operations at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA. Role Overview The incumbent will manage all facets of the METCAL program, maintaining inventory, receiving, storing, and distributing assigned MetCal equipment for organizational maintenance. This role requires independent work within established supply regulations and the ability to liaise with commercial and government stakeholders. Responsibilities Account for and inventory all assigned MetCal equipment. Receive, store, and distribute equipment per Marine Aviation supply procedures. Verify materials against receiving documents, report discrepancies, and inspect for damage. Operate hand or power trucks to perform warehousing duties. Conduct quality assurance inspections, inventory checks, and article inspections. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies. Work in a shop environment, aircraft hangars, and flight line with frequent exposure to extreme weather and hazards. Lift up to 60 pounds and maintain constant mental alertness under deadline-driven conditions. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands Typical warehouse environment requiring frequent lifting (20–60 pounds), kneeling, standing, walking, and use of hearing and speech for communication. Requires hearing protection in high noise areas and the ability to work under strict deadlines. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of Naval Aviation material and supply system experience. Four years’ experience as a logistics specialist in an Aviation Supply Technician role. Completion of Support Equipment (SE) Asset Manager Certification Course (D-555-0026) and possession of NEC 9590. Knowledge of AMMRL, IMRL, and governing supply systems/programs. Valid state driver’s license. Secret U.S. Government Clearance (citizenship required). Successful application of background checks via e-QIP and SF-85/86. Preferred Qualifications Prior F/A‑18 O‑level experience. Experience as Tool Control Coordinator. Knowledge of METCAL, IMRL, LAMS, OOMA, NALCOMIS, and FEDLOG. Safety & Quality Expectations Commit to a safety culture and complete all training requirements. Participate in emergency response tasks and safety committees. Adhere to Amentum Quality Policy and related customer contract requirements. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $32.77 per hour + $7.80 per hour for Health & Welfare (up to 40 hours per week).
