In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Wound Care Nurse RN plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all Guests. The Wound Care Nurse RN is responsible for performing skin treatments for all guests under their care.  This position will obtain treatment orders from attending physicians and assist with modifying the treatment regimen in accordance with established policies and procedures.  The Wound Care Nurse RN will provide supervision of staff and will safeguard the health, safety and welfare of all Guests under their care by following applicable laws, regulations, and established nursing policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience

·       Graduate from and accredited RN nursing program.

·       Current State License as a Registered Nurse

·       C.P.R. Certified

Preferred Education and Experience

·       3 years’ experience as an RN in a long term care setting.

·       1 year experience as a wound care nurse

·       Wound care certification

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

·       Knowledge of Joint commission procedures.

·       Knowledge of IDPH regulations.
