Job Details

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant, reporting to the Controller, will be directly responsible for processing the accounting and month end close processes.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the accounting calendar, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and consistency.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Controller to prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for review
• Assist with wire transfers
• Account reconciliations
• Work with multiple entities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Model and reinforce core values in all aspects of leadership and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Real estate / property management industry experience
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting systems
• Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• AppFolio
• CPA/MBA
