The Opportunity

Our client is an established Chicago-based professional services firm expanding its business development team. We're looking for a motivated B2B sales professional who has developed a strong foundation in prospecting and new business generation and is ready to take the next step in their career.

This opportunity is particularly well suited for someone with 2–6 years of B2B sales experience who enjoys hunting for new business, building relationships, and working independently in the field.

You'll develop your own territory, establish relationships with business owners and decision-makers, and sell consultative solutions that help organizations improve their operations and manage costs.

Responsibilities

• Build your own pipeline through cold calling, in-person prospecting, networking, and referrals
• Identify and develop opportunities with businesses throughout the Chicago market
• Meet with business owners, executives, and other decision-makers to understand their needs
• Conduct discovery meetings, present solutions, and work toward closing new business
• Develop and execute a consistent territory prospecting strategy
• Maintain accurate CRM activity and manage opportunities through the sales process
• Spend approximately 3–4 days per week in the field, with a weekly in-office team meeting

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of professional B2B sales experience , with demonstrated success generating new business
• Experience in an outbound sales environment involving cold calls, prospecting, and appointment setting
• A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Comfortable approaching businesses and developing relationships with decision-makers
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing daily activity without constant supervision
• Receptive to coaching, feedback, and continued professional development
• Interested in developing consultative selling skills and building a long-term sales career

Candidates from business services, payroll, HR technology, SaaS, uniform and facility services, staffing, logistics, healthcare sales, and similar B2B environments are encouraged to apply.

Previous outside sales experience is preferred but not required. Successful inside sales professionals ready to transition into field sales are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $70,000–$80,000
• Year 1 on-target earnings: $140,000–$160,000
