Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working across multiple sites near Newark, NJ. This position spans the full school year, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 23, 2027. Working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, you will provide valuable support to elementary-aged students at several school locations. While the home base will be at Colonial Middle School, all services will take place at designated partner sites, allowing you to impact a diverse student population.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification required, with endorsement as a Special Education/Learning Disability Teacher-Consultant (SPED/LDT-C)
• NJ Tech Certification mandatory
• Proven experience conducting evaluations is essential
• Comfortable managing a caseload of 30–40 elementary school students
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
• Strong communication skills and the adaptability to serve multiple nearby school locations

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students identified with learning disabilities and other needs
• Complete timely, thorough evaluations to inform student supports and IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to develop effective learning strategies
• Travel between four assigned schools to provide direct services, consultation, and support
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with state and district guidelines
