About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to provide oversight of direct reports and controller services, with a focus on supporting several nonprofit clients. The successful candidate will be a technically strong, mission-driven accounting professional with the ability to bring both strategic leadership and hands-on expertise to complex nonprofit finance operations. The AVP will be responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and various grant requirements. This role involves close partnership with the nonprofit's CFO and executive team, as well as the internal leadership of the company, to deliver high-quality financial management and insight. The ideal candidate for the AVP position at the company will lead a team of approximately 7-8 U.S.-based staff and 20 international team members, and must therefore be a confident and collaborative leader with strong technical accounting skills and executive presence. The role also requires the ability to guide teams and influence senior stakeholders within a dynamic, mission-oriented environment. The AVP will serve as a brand ambassador and thought leader, helping to initiate, maintain, and develop relationships.
