Hospital-Based Pharmacist Opportunity
A hospital-based pharmacist opportunity is available for a licensed professional with inpatient experience. This contract position requires a commitment to a 5-day, 8-hour shift schedule, with shifts primarily in the second shift range and some weekend coverage.
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Schedule/Hours:
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- 2nd shifts, either 12:30 PM 9:00 PM or 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
- Some weekends required
- ASAP start
- 13-week duration
Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification and ensure accuracy of medication orders
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide medication consultations
- Utilize Cerner health IT system effectively to support pharmacy operations
- Maintain patient safety and quality standards in an inpatient hospital setting
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Full-time availability matching required shift schedules
- Ability to work within budgetary guidelines
- Proficiency with Cerner or similar healthcare information technology systems
