The Financial Services EY EDGE (Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine) practice provides specialized tax technical services to U.S. and global clients, leveraging deep process and service delivery expertise that sets EY apart. Within this, the FSO EDGE Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) team offers tailored tax support for the asset management industry. As a services manager, you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals on hedge fund, private equity, and mutual fund taxation, including structuring, tax planning, and advisory services. Your key responsibilities Deliver and manage tax compliance and consulting work for clients Recognize and elevate problem areas to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns, research, accounting, and projects Consult with clients and elevate complex matters to senior management and subject‑matter professionals Lead projects and work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations Manage communications with client tax liaisons and trust teams to support informed decision‑making Maintain effective long‑term relationships and manage workflow with clients Manage engagement deliverables and team resources to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members Skills and attributes for success Ability to identify and elevate problem areas to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax projects Experience presenting complex topics in client conversations Ability to break down complex tax projects and formulate client‑centric solutions Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple assignments and deadlines To qualify for the role, you must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services or tax services organization in the financial services industry Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA) or licensed attorney Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax Proficient in the use of various tax and accounting technologies Excellent teaming, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills What we look for Tax professionals with a genuine interest in providing outstanding services to influential clients Trusted advisors who maintain and enhance EY’s reputation for excellence Individuals who thrive in diverse environments and bring strong interpersonal skills What we offer you At EY, we’ll develop you with future‑focused skills and equip you with world‑class experiences. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,600 to $191,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,400 to $217,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
